Gardening is one of Marilyn’s favorite hobbies. She is continually looking for new plants that will “fit” into her gardens. Plant colors are important, but she looks for names of plants appropriate to the garden where they will be planted. For instance, Everlasting Love hosta is a winner for the Sweetheart Garden, while Bachelor Buttons are found in the Little Boys Garden.
 
Marilyn’s goal for this book is to inspire all gardeners to find their stories in their gardens, and also to encourage them to smile, while pulling one more weed!
 
She believes God gave us a beautiful world to live in, and we can do our part, by taking care of our own little corners of this world. Working and resting in His beauty, is one way of saying thank you, for all He has given us.

AUTHOR BIO:
Marilyn and Gene, her farmer husband of over 50 years, are both lifelong residents of southern Minnesota. She is a mother of two, grandma to four and great-grandmother of one, a graduate of Mankato State College, a former teacher with hobbies that include gardening, writing music, doing stained glass work, knitting and reading. She is also a three-time cancer survivor.
