The whole Bible is God-centered for “of him and through him and to him are all things”. The Bible is also Christ-centered, not only because redemption centers on Christ, but also that everything in all eternity (including creation and the consummation of this present age) is because of Christ.

The typology of Scripture starts with Adam. The prophetic nature of Scripture starts with Abel. Man was destined to fulfill his divine purpose only in Christ. Having been derailed from that glory intended by God for him by his disobedience through Adam in the garden of Eden, the only way man could be restored is through the redemption that is in Christ alone.

There is no other way. It is the uniqueness and exclusivity of this saving act of God in Christ that pronounces judgment upon men who rely on their own selves for their eternal future.
